During your appointment, tell us about your history with Botox treatments or comparable medications such as Xeomin or Dysport. FAQ
How does it work?
Botox Cosmetic is injected into small forehead muscles. Once injected, botulinum toxin blocks nerve impulses, causing temporary paralysis in the muscles. This allows the wrinkles to flatten out and become less visible.
What should I expect after Botox treatment?
Most people return to work the same day. Bruising and/or swelling can occur, but can be alleviated with elevation and ice packs. Refrain from exercise or lying flat for 4-6 hours after treatment. You will notice that wrinkle lines are significantly reduced in 3-7 days. The results can last from 3-6 months.
Who performs the Botox injections?
Dr. James (Jim) Lowe or Dr. Julie Lowe can perform your Botox injection in our Oklahoma City plastic surgery office.
Where is the Botox treatment performed?
Treatment can be performed in our Oklahoma City office, located less than a mile east of Integris Baptist Medical Center at 2520 NW Expressway in Oklahoma City.
