Reduce Signs of Aging with Neck Lift Surgery
For aging people, the neck is one of the most common areas of concern. It is very likely to show sagging tissue and excess fat, which distort the youthful contour of your lower face.
While these are common signs of aging, they can also be influenced by genetics and lifestyle choices. Fortunately, we have options to improve the appearance of your neck. A neck lift at our Oklahoma City plastic surgery office is one way to reduce the signs of a "turkey neck" and help you achieve a more youthful appearance.
When to Undergo a Neck Lift in Oklahoma City
A neck lift is intended to correct sagging tissue and muscle that hang below the chin.
If you have the following conditions, you may benefit from a neck lift:

FAQ
How does it work?
For your surgery, which may last one to two hours, you will likely be placed under a general anesthetic, though a local anesthetic with sedation may be used in some cases. The doctor will begin by making an incision from the front of your earlobe, around the back of your ear into your hairline.
During the procedure, the doctor removes excess fatty tissue and works with the underlying prominent neck muscle, the platysma, to attain your cosmetic goals. The doctor will then close the incisions with sutures and cover them with a dressing and tape.
What happens after neck lift surgery?
After your surgery, it is important that you keep your head elevated. You will need to wear supportive garments for up to three weeks and should avoid rigorous activities for at least two weeks. It may take up until the time you remove the chin strap to witness the full results. Dr. Lowe will provide you with more detailed information to help you while you heal from your neck lift.
