Anesthesia

Before your surgery, general anesthesia and a local anesthetic are administered to ensure your comfort.

Incision

Your surgeon will make an incision along the fold underneath the breast or around the areola and under the areola.

Implant Removal

Your surgeon will remove your silicone or saline implants. Your surgeon may also remove the capsule that formed around the implants and any material that may have leaked out of the implants. You can also receive a breast lift or breast reduction to prevent the appearance of sagging breasts after implant removal.

Implant Replacement

If you're receiving new implants, your implants are replaced. We can discuss implant type and position during your consultation.

Sutures

Your incisions will be closed and the surgical site will be bandaged. Drains may be placed and you may receive a compression garment to help prevent swelling.
